Enlai was born in Singapore and grew up in New Zealand. Since returning, he has worked on over 30 theatre productions with groups such as Wild Rice!, Toy Factory, Spell #7, SRT, Theatreworks, The Necessary Stage and Action Theatre.

His Theatre & Musical credits include: Mobile, Fundamentally Happy, Lovepuke, What Big Bombs You Have!! Separation 40, Aladdin, Shanty: Follow That Dream, Landmarks: Asian Boys Vol. 2, Cinderel-Lah! Oi! Sleeping Beauty, Connect The Dots, Bent, Stop Kiss, Magic of Love, Shopping and F***ing, and Titoudao.

Enlai also had the honour of working with the late Krishen Jit on several productions, namely Plunge, Squeeze & Squeezability and The Visit of the Tai Tai.

At the 2002 DBS Life! Theatre Awards, Enlai was named Best Actor for his work in Shopping & F***ing and was part of the cast of Bent, the Play of the Year at the 2004 ST Life! Theatre Awards. Nominations include: Best Ensemble, Aladdin (2005 ST Life! Theatre Awards); Best Ensemble, Cinderel-Lah! (2004 ST Life! Theatre Awards); Best Ensemble, Various Gangsters (2003 DBS Life! Theatre Awards); Most recently, he was part of the duo that made Fundamentally Happy the Best Play at the 2007 ST Life! Theatre Awards.

On television, you would have seen him in Ch5’s sitcoms Sayang Sayang and Parental Guidance 2. He plays Yu-Jin on MediaCorp TV’s Channel 5 sitcom My Sassy Neighbour season 1, 2 & 3 and also acted in season 1, 2 and 3 of The Noose. Other credits include Ch 5’s Daddy’s Girls as hairdresser K.C, as well as telemovies such as Coming Home, Chase – Blueprint 2 and Colours – No Place Like Home. Also a variety host on TV, Enlai hosted Ch 5’s popular Heartland Getaways season 1 & 2, game show Look Who’s Leading as well as Global Picnic with Andrea D’cruz. A regular on MediaCorp’s Kids Central, Enlai’s credits include Jobs for Juniors season 1 to 3, Science Guy P.I. and Hobby TV.

It is little wonder why Enlai has also become one of the most watched faces on TV as part of the Come Home To 5 branding campaign by Mediacorp. His popularity topped with a warm and vibrant personality, coupled with his distinct and hearty laugh, has also made him the choice host for numerous road shows, functions and gala dinners.

Enlai’s latest works include Beauty & The Beast where he stole the show as step-sister Desiree, and as Gwendolen Fairfax in W!ld Rice’s all-male ensemble of The Importance Of Being Ernest. Enlai will also be tickling everyone’s funny bone in September 2010 as he joins popular funnyman Hossan Leong on stage for the all-new all-funny “The Hossan Leong Show”. This captivating actor is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 2010 ST Life! Theatre Awards for his performance in The Importance of Being Ernest.

Enlai’s work stretches all the way to the big screens. He starred as a platoon commander on The Ghost Must Be Crazy, a two-part story Jack Neo movie directed by Boris Boo.
