Best known for his award-winning theatre work in Singapore, Daniel Jenkins is a two-time Straits Times Life Theatre Awards Best Supporting Actor winner for Quills and Cabaret, and one of the most recognisable talents in the local stage scene with over 30 productions to his name.
Born and raised in the UK, Daniel trained at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain before pursuing formal studies at Surrey University and the Guildford School of Acting, where he earned the Yvonne Arnaud Award and an acting diploma. He also holds a Licentiate in Drama from the Guildhall School of Speech and Drama and a BA (Hons) in Theatre.
Beyond his two Life Theatre Award wins, he has earned six total Life Theatre Award nominations across Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor categories. His major stage highlights include Quills, Cabaret, Animal Farm and over a decade of Shakespeare productions with SRT (Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Othello, Much Ado About Nothing and more). On screen, he has appeared in series’ such as The Last Madame, Tribes, Tanglin, Rojak, as well as films including In the Room, Crazy Rich Asians, and Robotropolis. A sought-after voice actor, he was previously the voice of AXN and voiced Mr. Monkey in Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew. In addition to performing, he is SRT’s Artistic Director at The Young Company and The Little Company, and runs The Drama Playhouse, providing drama enrichment for children across Singapore.
