About Joshua

Born in Melbourne Australia, Joshua moved to Singapore at a young age. Under the tutelage of Kym Campbell and Lim Yu Beng, Joshua learnt the fundamentals of acting and has proceeded to act in numerous dramas and telemovies for MediaCorp and HBO Asia. He has appeared in dramas such as October (2015), Code of Law Season 3 (2015), Cradle of Life (2015), How We Met (2015), Rojak (2016), WarTime Singapore (2016), Project Ground Zero (2016), P.I. (2016), Fine Tune (2016) and Lion Moms (2015 – 2018).

In 2018, is the year of firsts for Joshua – participating in his first Channel 8 drama You Can Be An Angel 3, and his first dialect drama series, “How Are You?” 《好世谋》 (“Ho Seh Bo”).

He is perhaps best known however for his leading role in the "Ah Boys To Men" tetralogy which is also the highest grossing Singaporean film. Since Ah Boys To Men, Joshua has been casted for several other films such as Hongbaos & Kisses (2013), Young & Fabulous (2016), Rise (2016), Long Long Time Ago (2016) and 4 Love (2016).

Aside from acting, Joshua has moved on to host various TV shows for MediaCorp including a documentary about ageing in society and the effects of dementia (Channel News Asia) and most recently, a Channel 5 educational series, Ship To Shore, about occupations in the maritime industry. He has also hosted various live events such as 2020’s Sengkang Chinese New Year Event and the Prudential Q3 Circle of Champions 2019. In 2020, he shared the stage together with the rest of the Ah Boys to Men cast and enticed the nearly 700-strong audience at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s Re:Mix Getai 2020.

In 2019, Joshua reprised his role as Marcus Lim the 3rd Season of Lion Moms acting alongside other cast members such as Lina Ng, Nurul Aini and Vanessa Vanderstraaten.

He went on to star in the cheerleading Toggle Original Cheerific, Viddsee’s The Multiverse At 13 Hill Ave and WaWa Picture’s Time Capsule.

Joshua is also a passionate martial arts practitioner, having studied Muay Thai for over 10 years. He is also stunt trained and does most of his own stunt work, including wire work.
