About Kheng Hua

Tan Kheng Hua is an award-winning actress/producer in Singapore and Malaysia.

On international film, her recent credits include Crazy Rich Asians (main supporting, Warner Brothers) and The Garden of Evening Mists (main supporting, Astro Shaw/HBO Asia).

On international television, she is most recently seen in Marco Polo (series regular, Netflix Original), Medical Police (main guest, Netflix), Grey's Anatomy (main guest, ABC), Magnum PI (main guest, CBS), Chimerica (main guest, Channel4), The Philanthropist (main guest, NBC), The Patriarch (main guest, UFA) and Serangoon Road and Foodlore (main guest, HBO Asia).

Kheng is also deeply involved in the Singapore theatre scene where she’s a prolific actress and industry player. When not acting, she is an active independent creative producer. She creates and produces stage and television content of all genres including cabaret, drama, comedy, info-tainment, reality and musicals. One of the television dramas she created and produced, Do Not Disturb (Mediacorp Television), was the first local English-language TV series to receive the maximum 5-star rating from Singapore's main newspaper, The Straits Times. She has also created and produced festivals such as The SIN-PEN Colony at the Georgetown Festival in Penang and The 20-Something Festival in Singapore.’

Kheng is in the forefront of Singapore's arts scene and was named one of 20 Singaporean contemporary artists to represent Singapore in Singapore: Inside Out, a showcase of the nation's best artists touring NYC, London, and Beijing. Kheng has also been nominated for and won many awards including The Art Nation Award (Best Actress), DBS Life! Theatre Award (Best Actress), Asian Television Award (Best Comedic Performance by an Actress), Asian Television Award (Dramatic Performance by an Actress), Star Awards (Nominated Best Supporting Actress), Asian Television Award (Best Current Affairs & Magazine Presenter), JCCI Singapore Foundation Culture Awards for Contributions to Singapore, and the Critics Choice Award (Best Actor) at the Cairo International Festival of Experimental Theatre.

Kheng loves cats, is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys running, jump rope, diving, snow skiing and being mother to her only daughter.

Kheng is excited to begin shooting her next project in the fall in Vancouver as part of the main cast of a brand new series entitled, Kung Fu, produced by Berlanti Productions and WarnerMedia for The CW Channel.
